Faculty Of Medicine Foca Promotes Erasmus Day

Today, on 15 October 2020, Faculty of Medicine Foca, University of East Sarajevo, promotes Erasmus Day as a beneficiary of various Erasmus programs. In this way, the Faculty of Medicine Foca joins higher education and other institutions that organize these types of promotional activities from 15-17 around the world. October 2020.

The Faculty of Medicine Foca has been participating in Erasmus programs since 2015, when this program was launched. Recently, the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Strengthening internationalization in BiH higher education” (2015-2019) was implemented, through which the Faculty of Medicine Foca exchanged experiences with EU partners in the systemic establishment of internationalization. In accordance with the positive experiences, from this academic year 2020/21, the study program of Medicine in English was launched. Currently, over 50 students are enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine Foca who will study in English, and they come from Rome, Palermo, Cagliari, Kathmandu, Karachi, Calcutta, Dhaka and others.

The Faculty of Medicine Foca is a partner in the structural project Erasmus + KA2 “Strengthening capacities for the implementation of dual education in BiH higher education” (www.dualsci.unze.ba), which was approved in 2019 and will last until 2022.

The Faculty of Medicine Foca is also a partner in the approved project Erasmus+ KA2 “Development of part time and short cycles of studies in higher education in BiH”, the implementation of which will begin in January 2021.

It is important to note that the Faculty of Medicine Foca also participates in mobility programs within Erasmus + KA1 with the Medical University of Lublin (Poland) and the Polytechnico do Porto (Portugal).

In accordance with the Internationalization Strategy of the University of East Sarajevo 2018-2023, the Faculty of Medicine plans to increase the number of mobility of teachers and students, as well as submit a number of different project applications within future Erasmus programs.
